Staff Sergeant (retired) Charles Guyton King, age 83 of Huntsville, died Saturday at home.
He was preceded in death by his parents Berry and Lois King, two brothers, Allen King and James King Sr., and two sisters Virginia King and Betty Jean McDaniel.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Jewell D. King, daughter Shirley DeRolf and husband Bob, son, Charles King, Jr, Ray King and wife Mary Beth, three grandchildren, Cyrstal Dayton, Nichole Martin and husband Brad, and Donavan DeRolf, four great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville, where the family will receive friends from 5:30 PM – 8:00 PM Monday. A service will be held Tuesday at 10:00 AM in Spry Funeral Home’s Chapel with Rev. Tracy Loveman officiating. Interment will follow at Huntsville Memory Gardens.
