Funeral service for Charles Gregory Pilgrim, 54, of Decatur, will be held Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Scotty Hogan officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. A Graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery in Tuscumbia, AL.
He was born November 15, 1968 to Charles Thurman Pilgrim and Patsy Berry Pilgrim in Huntsville, Alabama.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles W. and Methyl Pilgrim, Athel Berry, and Willie Berry.
He is survived by his parents, Charles and Patsy Pilgrim; brother, Perry Pilgrim; special nephew, Elias Pilgrim; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.
He was a collection supervisor for American Thrift Store. He was a 1987 graduate of Austin High School. He enjoyed music, art, and was an avid Alabama fan.
Pallbearers will be Wes Seaton, Justin Sparks, Jason Underwood, Michael Powell, Anthony Sparks, Trace Clark, and Timmy Clark.
