Charles “Fudd” Melton

Mr. Charles “Fudd” Melton passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2024, at the age of 71. He was the son of the late Charles Edward and Sybil Blanks Melton.
He had an immense amount of love, compassion for every single person he met. He loved the Lord more than anything in this world. He often would be given money for whatever and he would say thank you for your donation to St. Jude. He instilled gratitude into his wife. He said we are givers not takers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Edward and Sybil Blanks Melton; sister, Renee Melton Lewis.
He is survived by his beloved and devoted wife, Karen Pemberton Melton; daughters, Bridget (Grant) Holt, Chanda (Gary) Willis, Crystal (Kevin) Lloyd, Britanny Basham; 8 grandchildren, Amber (Thomas) Burnett, Ashley (Dustin) Patrick, McKenzie Mason, Zachary Basham, Garrett Basham, Anaston Holt, Noah Maddox, Landry Mason; 3 great-grandchildren, Dre, Ace, and Austyn; Several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and the best friends in the world.
He was a member of the Church of Christ.
He was a retired engineer in tool and die for Nissan North America for 36 years. He was an avid outdoorsman, he loved hunting, fishing, coaching kids in any kind of way. He loved animals, horses, cows, dogs and occasionally cats???

A celebration of life to be held at a later date.
