Charles Franklin Timbes, Sr., 75, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 8, 2014. He was born on December 12, 1938, in Leighton, AL. A visitation will be held 12:00pm until 2:00pm Wednesday September 10, 2014 at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia, AL. A funeral service will follow at 2:00pm Wednesday with Pastor Neal Wright officiating. Burial will follow at Old Bethel Cemetery, Leighton, AL. Charles grew up in Leighton, AL and graduated from Colbert County High School. He retired from Reynolds Aluminum and was a member of the Local 477. Charles was preceded in death by his wife Carol, his mother Erlene Timbes and father Kermet Timbes. Charles was survived by his children, Cheryl Timbes Hill (Spencer), Charles (Chuck) Timbes, Jr. (Tammy), and Teri Timbes Butler (Mike); step-children Cindy Beaver Stanfield (Grant) and Randy Beaver (Beth), 17 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and sister Veda Smith (Kyle). Pallbearers will be Kent Gatlin, Tim Chapman, Randy Beaver, Grant Stanfield, Taylor Stanfield, and Jeff Smallwood.
