Age 92 went home to be with the Lord in that “Pearly White City”, Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at The Waterford in Smyrna, TN. He was born March 22, 1929 in Greenbrier, TN to Lowell and Beulah Meadows Swift. He was retired from the State of Tennessee with 35+ years of service as Job Corp Manager. He was a member of Zion’s Chapel Assembly of God, where he served for 35+ years as minister of music. He loved his church and was always willing to serve however and wherever he was needed. He enjoyed gardening and riding his John Deere tractor. He grew vegetables and loved giving them to all of his neighbors and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lowell & Beulah Swift; wife, Willadean Ray Swift; brother, Billy Joe Swift. He is survived by his daughter, Teresa A. (David) Sivils; Grandson, Chad Sulcer, all of Smyrna, TN; Great-grandchildren, Jazmine Sulcer and Atticus Sulcer, both of CA. Funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 2PM in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House, with Pastor Larry Marlar officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation with the family is planned for Friday, March 4, 2022 4-PM-8PM and Saturday, March 5, 2022 12-2PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are requested to be made to Zion’s Chapel Assembly of God 2848 New Hall Road Greenbrier, TN 37073.
