Charles-Willliams-1449931800Charles F. Williams, age 83, died on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at his residence surrounded by his family and close friends.
A native of Madison County, TN, Charles was born on March 8, 1932, the son of the late H. F. and Faye Webb Williams. He was a life-time farmer, who had a love for carpentry and flying. He was a licensed pilot since 1987. He enjoyed the outdoors and the time he spent hunting and fishing were very special. He was a member of Wards Grove Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and on various committees. He could always be counted on as the “fixer-up” person at the church.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-three years, Margaret Brown Williams of Jackson, TN; three sons, Steve Williams and wife Linda of Collierville, TN, Ken Williams of Palmetto, GA and Mike Williams and wife Elaine of Jackson, TN; a daughter, Gail Craig and husband David of Memphis, TN; a brother, John Webb Williams and wife Carol of Denton, TX; a sister, Virginia Rothman and husband Ed of Poquoson, VA; nine grandchildren, Kaitlyn Hendrix and husband Tyler, Whitney Williams, Seth Williams and wife Leah, Shelsea Williams, Phillip Williams, Blake Williams, Zac Craig, Anna Craig and Jake Craig and two great grandchildren, Annabelle and Colt Hendrix.
SERVICES: A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, December15, 2015 at the Wards Grove Baptist Church, with Rev. Ken Skelton and Mr. O’Neal Henley officiating. The family will be receiving friends on Monday, December 14, 2015 from 4:30 PM until 7:00 PM at Arrington Funeral Directors and on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 from 1:00 PM until service time at Wards Grove Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be Seth Williams, Phillip Williams, Zac Craig, Blake Williams, Jake Craig, Tyler Hendrix, Gene Morris and Ricky Gowan.
