Charles Eugene Lansdell, Sr., 74, of Muscle Shoals, AL passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2024. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 from 10 am – 12 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel with a graveside service to follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Tuscumbia, AL. Brad Bates and Norman Currington will be officiating.
He was a member of Highland Park Church of Christ. Known as “PaPa”, he never missed an opportunity to brag on his four grandsons, pay someone a compliment, or tell you about his family. He loved animals, Elvis Presley, and Alabama football. He especially loved rooting for any team that involved his son, son-in-law, and grandsons. He always gave helpful advice, and he was the motivator and the encourager in every situation, good or bad. He was greatly loved and will be missed by many.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Christine Lansdell; brothers, Price Landell and Clyde Lansdell; sister, Eva Ruth Currington.
He is survived by his son, Charlie Lansdell (Emily); daughter, Christa Ballard (Jerry); grandchildren, Rush Lansdell, Canon Lansdell, Max Ballard, and Jake Ballard; brothers, Earl Lansdell and Mack Lansdell (Jan); sister, Patricia Aycock; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Charlie Lansdell, Rush Lansdell, Canon Lansdell, Jerry Ballard, Max Ballard, and Jake Ballard.
