Charles Edward Polk Sr.

Mr. Polk was a longtime member of the Myrtle Grove Baptist Church. He retired from Monsanto after 35 years of service. He served as a member of the board of directors and treasurer of the Northwest Florida Area Agency on Aging for 20 years and board of deacons at Myrtle Grove Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Gertrude Jett Polk.
A funeral service was held at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South on Monday, April 8, 2013, at 7 p.m. Reverend Ron Pouliot officiated. A committal service will be held at Roselawn Cemetery in Decatur.
Honorary pallbearers were Senator W.D. Childers, Don Page, Dr. Don Colley, O.C. Hood, Paul White, Kevin White, Johnny Standiford, Randy Rigsby, W.R. Pope, Jimmy Britton and all the deacons of Myrtle Grove Baptist Church.
