Mr. Charles Edward Plemons, also known as “Charlie” or “Eddie”, age 69 of Spencer, passed away Friday, February 17, 2023 after battling an extended illness.
Charlie Plemons was born in Decatur, Alabama on June 3, 1953, and grew up in Dallas, Texas. He was a disabled Vietnam Veteran who was married to his best friend and love of his life, Tiny Plemons for 41 years. He was a loving husband, a wonderful father, a fun and doting grandfather, a supportive brother, a good friend, and so many other roles.
He is survived by his wife, Tiny Plemons; his children, Autumn and Jeremiah Everett, and Dustin and Kayla Plemons; his eight grandchildren, Nikolas Goff, Levi Everett, Dallas Everett, Skyler Plemons, Jackson Hankins, Ashton Plemons, Charlee Sue Everett, and Oaklynn Plemons; sister, Darlene Watts; brother, Harlen Eckiss, sister-in-law Debbie Walling, and mother-in-law, Barbara Shockley and their families; many neices, nephews and friends also survive.
He was preceded in death by his dad and step-mom, Jack and Patti Eckiss; mother, Audrey Nell Livingston, and brother-in-laws, Anthony Shockley and Darrell Walling. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and operated the Eagles Landing for years. He volunteered with the Youth Association, Baker Mountain Farms, and anything that helped children. He loved to make others laugh, gave the best real-life advice, and was a great storyteller. Most importantly, he loved his wife, kids, and grandkids.
A celebration of life is planned for, Monday, February 20, 2023, at 2 pm with Bro. Kenny Baker and Bro. RC Christian officiating with words of remembrance by his sister, Darlene Watts. There will be a period of visitation with the family prior to the service starting 11 am until time of service.
