Charles "Chuck" Edward Janek Sr. Mr. Charles Edward Janek, Sr, “Chuck”,age 74, of Thornhill, Tennessee, passed away at the home of his son in Baileyton, Alabama on Monday, September 18, 2023 while under the care of Hospice of the Valley. Chuck was born December 11, 1948 in Massachusetts, son of Chester Janek and Vata Scism Janek. Chuck was an automotive mechanic by trade. Working on cars wasn’t just his occupation but was his life. Other interest of Chuck included natural healing of others and making others smile and making sure everyone he loved was taken care of. He loved animals, didn’t matter what kind. Mainly Chuck’s family was his main interest, it did not matter who you were or where you came from if you would be considered family. He loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren fiercely, and it did not matter if you were blood or not, if he said it than you were family. He would do anything he could for them but his generosity did not stop with just his family. He was a very generous individual and if he could help a child in any way then there was no hesitation on his part.
Family left behind to cherish precious memories of Charles include: son and daughter-in-law, Charles E. “Chuck” and Marilyn Janek; daughter, Kelly Waller; six grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.
Family members preceding Charles in death include: wife Jeanne Janek; son, Keith Janek; brother, Chet Janek; and sisters, Linda Tetreault and Rose Thompson.
The family has chose cremation with no formal services.
