Charles Edward Higginbottom, 78, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at North Al. Medical Center, Florence, AL. He was born in Belmont, MS, worked as a carpenter and had owned Carquest in Belmont and a small engine repair shop. Charles was a member of Tishomingo Baptist Church, where he was a Sunday School teacher, former church treasurer and a member of the choir. He had gone on fifteen mission trips with Global Outreach. He and his wife, Amelia were leaders of Keenagers.
Services will be Friday, July 12, 4 p.m. at Tishomingo Baptist Church with Dr. Rusty Fair and Bro. Robbie Crane officiating. Burial will be in Lindsey Cemetery, Dennis, MS. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Amelia Higginbottom; two children, Camille Stanfield (Wayne) and Ronson Higginbottom; five grandchildren, Caitlin Maroon (John Mark), Adam Stanfield, Ethan Stanfield, Hunter Higginbottom and Autumn Childers (Austin); five brothers, Ben Higginbottom (Peggy), Ricky Higginbottom (Pam), Mike Higginbottom (Pam), Lee Higginbottom (Jill) and Greg Higginbottom and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Geneva Higginbottom.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Dewayne Higginbottom, Garrett Higginbottom, Gary Higginbottom, Josh Higginbottom, Dylan Higginbottom and Josh Stanphill.
Visitation will be Friday, July 12, 2-4 p.m. at Tishomingo Baptist Church.
