Charles Edward Hankins, age 79, of Sulligent, AL passed away Thursday, August 15, 2019 at his residence. Funeral services with Military Honors will be held on Sunday, August 18, 2019 at 2:00pm from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. Bro. William Kirkman, Bro. Phillip Blaylock and Bro. Brian Kirkman to officiate. Visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the funeral service from 12:00pm until 2:00pm.
Charles was born on November 29, 1939 in Gattman, MS to the late Eddie Hankins and the late Lorene Downey. He served in the U.S. Navy and retired from the AL Army National Guard. Charles was a barber, school bus driver and minister. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, driving and traveling.
