Charles Edward Frost, 85, passed away on August 31, 2023. The visitation will be on Sunday, September 3, 2023 and will be held at Old Brick Presbyterian Church, Muscle Shoals from 1-2 pm with the service to follow. Bro. Carl Malm will be officiating. Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens.

He was reunited with his late wife, Verda Frost, on their 66th wedding anniversary. Mr. Frost was a wonderful husband, dad, and loved his role as a papaw. He faithfully attended Old Brick Presbyterian until his health declined. He retired from Ford Motor Company after 31 years of service. His hobby were growing a big garden and sharing with his neighbors and friends. Charles loved mowing his grass two to three times a week.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Verda Frost; Parents, Henry and Sleta Frost; Brothers, Henry Frost and Dee Frost.

He is survived by his son Charles Lee Frost (Janet) of Alpine, AL; daughters Donna Wideman (Tom) of Florence, AL and Rita Daugherty (Mike) of Muscle Shoals AL; brothers, J.C. Frost of Collinsville, AL and Melba Norwood of Fort Payne, AL; sister, Paulette Templeton of Collinsville, AL; grandchildren, Russell Garret (LeAnne), Evan Wideman (Marie), Taylor Wideman Gibbs (Jonathon); bonus grandchildren, Tabitha Blasingame, T.J. LeMay, Shannon Daugherty, and Shane Daugherty; great grandchildren, Blakely Wideman, Griffin, Asher, and Serena Gibbs, Judd Johnson, Daniel, and Ethan Blasingame.

Pallbearers will be Robert Austin, Ricky Butler, Wayne Frost, Ted LeMay, Jr., Bill White, and Wayne Atkins. Honorary pallbearers will be Carlton Graves, Leemac Gotcher, and J.C. Frost.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to his home church Old Brick (fellowship hall addition) or Harvest Life (his sons church) at P.O. Box 205 Talladega, AL.

A special thanks to his caregivers Kisha Kelsoe, Kay Powell, and Justina Jones who Made his day brighter. They started out as strangers but ended up as family. We can never thank y’all enough for loving him and caring for him like you did. God hand-picked you all as heavens angels on earth to care for him.
