Charles Edgar George, 82, was born in Limestone County, AL on May 22, 1933.Today, August 28, 2015, he went to be with his Lord and Savior, JESUS.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ella Louise (Rodgers) George, his parents, Charlie Marvin George and Effie Mae (Whitt) George; his paternal grandparents, James William (J.W.) George and Eula Mae (Woodard) George; his maternal grandparents, Isaac Jefferson Whitt and Elizabeth Jane (Hargrove) Whitt.
Survivors include his sisters, Julia Elizabeth (George) Putman, Dorothy Marie (George) Pressnell (James Orell); his three children, Diane Clardy (Terry), Mike George (Robbie), and Pam Wimberley (Mark); eight grandchildren, Jason Ellis (Jessie), Jared Ellis (Stephanie), Jody Ellis, Jennifer Grimes (Stan), Lyndee Gill (Jeremy), Luke Wimberly (Melanie), Brittany Rozar (Jason) and Christopher George; 14 great grandchildren, Kaitlin Ellis (Wes), Megan Ellis (Austin), Dawson Ellis, Isaiah Gill, Ella Grimes, Logan Ellis, Jalyn Gill, Sadie Ellis, Cara Grimes, Landon Ellis, Cheyenne Ellis, Natalie Rozar, Alyssa Rozar, Hudson Rozar, Ethan George; 3 great great grandchildren, Jackson Kael Holt, Madilyn Grace “Mattie” Holt (to be born in November 2015), Ryleigh Lynn Wimberly (to be born in Nov. 2015).
Visitation will be at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home in Ardmore, Limestone County, Alabama on Monday, August 31, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Milton Martin and Rev. Edward Johnson officiating.
Burial will follow at Gatlin Cemetery in Ardmore.
