Charles E. “Billy” Clem, 88 of Ardmore, Alabama died on Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at his home.
Born Thursday, November 6, 1924 in Elkmont, Alabama, he was the son of the late John B. Clem and the late Ira Hodges Clem. He was a lifelong resident of this area and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, a wife: Ellen Mae Young Clem, two brothers: Milburn Clem and Wayne Clem, and two sisters: Geraldine Holt and Reba Marlow.
Surviving are son, Mark & Janet Clem of Athens, AL, daughter, Ann Martin of Ardmore, AL, sister, Rena Mae Wallace Camp of Elkmont, AL, three grandchildren: Jason Martin, Justin Martin, and Dawn Martin, and six greatgrandchildren: Jeremy Butler, Kelsi Martin, Levi Martin, Kaylee Martin, Makarlee Martin, and Ashlyn Bentley, and
several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama with Bro. Bill Sharp and Bro. Scotty Travis officiating. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Ardmore, AL.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Friday, March 22, 2013, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama
