Graveside services for Charles Donald Dick Sr. will be held at 10 AM Friday, 9 August 2024 at Oakland Cemetery 798 S. Brownsville St. Trenton, TN 38382.
Mr. Dick passed away surrounded by family after a lengthy illness on Sunday, 26 May 2024 at Sodalis Assisted Living Facility in Pensacola FL. The family wishes to thank the many staff and friends of Sodalis for their wonderful care of our father.
Mr. Dick was born in Pontiac MI on 14 August 1929 but moved to TN as a young boy. He grew up in the Eaton community. He graduated from Spring Hill High School on 3 June 1947. He proudly served his country by joining the U.S. Navy on 4 June 1947. He worked his way up from the enlisted ranks to then become commissioned as an officer. After many tours, to include serving in the Vietnam War, he retired in Jacksonville FL after 26 years in the Navy. After retirement he enjoyed golfing and keeping his lawn immaculate just like a golf course.
Mr. Dick is survived by his son Charles Donald Dick Jr. (Peggy) of Arlington TX, daughters Rhonda Arrant of Pensacola FL, Leisa Hellard of Pensacola FL, Tammy Muffley (Barry) of St. Augustine FL and Kim Morris (Charles) of Callahan FL. His only surviving sibling, sister Mary Ann Joyce of Humboldt, TN, 11 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren. Nephews Fred Dick of Trenton TN and Terry Pillow (Chris) of Brazil TN.
Mr. Dick was preceded in death by his wife Carole Lee Dick and granddaughter Alexa Holt.
