Charles Curtis – Obituary

Charles Curtis, 66, of Killen died Tuesday, December 24, 2013, at his residence.

Visitation will be Friday, December 27, 2013, from 6-8 PM at Elkins East Chapel.  Funeral services will be Saturday, December 28, 2013, at2 PM at Elkins East Chapel with Robert Clark officiating.  Burial will be at Hale Cemetery.

Mr. Curtis was a Vietnam Veteran and served in the US Army.  He joined the National Guard and retired from the 161st Medical Co AMB DET 1.  He worked for TVA for 22 years.  He loved gardening, going to auctions, and loved Alabama Football.  He attended the First Baptist Church of Rogersville.  His favorite words were—“ROLL TIDE”.

Mr. Curtis was preceded in death by his father, William Albert Curtis; son, Ronald Jean Curtis.

Mr. Curtis is survived by his mother, Betty Ann Curtis; two sons, Mark Curtis (Tiffany) and Charles Curtis (Manuela); sister, Virginia Ann Curtis; three grandchildren, Chris Curtis, Nicholas Curtis, and Abby Curtis.

Pallbearers will be Jesse Beadle, Jesse Rickard, Sheldon Beaver, Stanley Beaver, James Smith, and Michael Horton.

The family would like to express thanks to Glenwood Rehab. Center, ALACARE, Jesse Beadle, and James Smith for all they did for Mr. Curtis.
