Charles Cleveland Lovett – Obituary

Funeral for Charles Cleveland Lovett, 83, of Moulton will be Saturday, September 6, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home Chapel wtih Larry Davis and Brandon Pylant officiating. Burial will be in Owens Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mr. Lovett died Wednesday, September 3, 2014, at NHC Healthcare. He was born September 27, 1930, in Lawrence County to Austin Lovett and Elise White Lovett Steele. Mr. Lovett was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean War. He 

retired as an operator from Fruehauf and was a member of Owens Chapel Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and stepfather, Chris Steele.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Spruell Lovett; one son, Charles T. Lovett and Janet of Hartselle; one daughter, Connie Dutton and Jake of Moulton; grandchildren, Wesley Lovett of Hartselle, Joe Dutton and Jenny of Moulton, Julie Sneed and Richard of Hartselle, Lori Vining and Chad of Athens, Abigail Arnold and Greg of Mississippi and Kimberly Fairbanks and Brent of Missouri; 14 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Hilda Rice and Ann Anderson, both of Decatur, and Helen O’Neal and Mike of Tennessee; and his niece and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Wesley Lovett, Joe Dutton, Chad Vining, Richard Sneed, Chad O’Neal and Greg Arnold.
