Mr. Charles “Chuck” Newton Nelson, Jr., age 59 of Scottsboro, Alabama passed away Saturday, July 6, 2024. Chuck was an avid outdoorsman and loved Alabama football.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Rev. Pete Hess officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Mr. Nelson is survived by his sons, Charles Newton “Trey” Nelson, III and Andrew Britt Nelson (Kelsie); granddaughters, Mary Harper Nelson and Palmer Reese Nelson; and brother, Scott Nelson (Chantel).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Chuck & Julia Nelson.
