Charles “Chuck” Evans – Obituary

Funeral services for Mr. Charles “Chuck” Evans, age 69, are scheduled for 1 PM, Friday, May 26, 2017 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Antioch Cemetery. Mr. Evans passed away early Tuesday in Jackson. He was born March 4th, 1948 in Lexington to the late Hubert Ray and Eleanor Ligon Evans. He was a dedicated maintenance engineer having served 31 years at Goldsmith’s/Macy’s. He was preceded in death by two brothers, John Wesley Evans and Kenneth Faye Evans. Survivors include his two sons, Chuckie Evans and Michael Ryan Evans; two brothers, Jerry “Hogan” Evans and Billy “Moe” Evans (Christy), three sisters; Martha Sue Scott (Jerry), Brenda Graves (Mike), and Betty Clark (J D Maness), five nieces; Amy Scott, Dana “Little Devil” Scott Craft, Shanna Scott, Gerrianne Scott, and Natasha Evans; and five nephews, Jason Russell, Joshua Moore, Jarrett Moore, Brad Evans, and Jeffrey Evans, a very special life long partner, Lesa Barton McNeal. Chuck was an avid hunter and fisherman who shared many memories with his son, Michael, and many dear friends. He was a die hard follower of the St. Louis Cardinals and the University of TN Vols. He was a patriot having served in Vietnam War as a SPC4. A Christian who always put his family first.
