Charlie was born on October 1, 1939, in Sardis, Mississippi to A.L. and Mary Black Carr. He graduated from Sardis High School. He was an avid Mississippi State fan and bled maroon and white. He had a heart of gold and loved to make people laugh. He rarely met anyone whom he did not call a friend, and everyone will remember Charlie for his contagious smile, his iconic toasts and dances, and for his love of cologne.  Charlie devoted his life to his children and loved his family.
