Charles Blanton, age 85 of Whiteville, TN, passed away Saturday evening, February 25, 2017, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Charles Gordon Blanton was born on Monday, October 19, 1931, to Leland D. Blanton and Charles Ora Seddons in Hardeman County, TN. On September 24, 1950, he married Barbara Keller. After 35 years, he retired as an engineer from the state of Tennessee. Charles served in the US Army and lived all of his life in Hardeman county.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Blanton of Whiteville; and two sons, Kel Blanton(Sherri) of Somerville, and Dana Blanton of Whiteville. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leland D. Blanton and Charles Ora Seddons.
