Charles Anthony “Tony” Rice, age 56, of Muscle Shoals, died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2015. Visitation will be Saturday, Jan. 17, from noon until 1 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home of Florence. The service will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Larry Young officiating. Burial will be at Sheffield Oakwood.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Lena Peden Rice, father, William Euwin Rice Jr., stepfather, Ward Lanier Duffey Sr., son, Christopher Anthony Rice, and brothers, Robert and Issac Rice.
Survivors are his mother, Jessie Pauline Duffey; companion, Betty Drucella Greenhaw; son, Daniel Lee Rice (Kacey); sisters, Margie Buckner, Linda Terrell, and Nancy Terrell; brothers, David Rice, Ward Duffey Jr., Dwight Duffey, and Scotty Duffey; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
