Charles Alexander "Alex" Coker Charles Alexander Coker “Alex”, age 37, a native of Etowah county, passed away from a tragic traffic accident, January 1, 2025.

He is survived by his son, Colton Jasce Coker (Erica), Parents Cindy & Paul Dodd, Charles Allen & Laura Coker. Brother, Tyler Dodd (Ana), Stepsister Shannon Patterson (and family). Aunts Dana Walker (Donny), Brianna Patterson (Ursula), Renee Poche, Kelly Johannson Uncle Bobby Michael. A host of nieces and nephews and cousins…and his brothers and sister at Back to Life Sober Living, Anniston.

Alex was born in Gadsden, July 29, 1987 and lived in Etowah county most of his life. He graduated in 2005 from Southside High School where he was in the band and played football. He went to Gadsden State Community College where he studied welding and applied that knowledge doing welding jobs…he had been employed as injection molding at Kasai Industries in Talladega.

He was precious and loving and had the sweetest heart. He was a good man! He loved his son and his family very much….and when Alex loved he loved with all his heart.
He is loved and missed by us all!
Cremation Services of East Alabama are handling all the arrangements. Family will announce a memorial for a celebration of his life in the upcoming week or so.
No flowers please….donations can be made to Cremation Services of East Alabama.
