Mrs. Charlene Stanfill Brady, 92, resident of Thomas Avenue, died Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Acension St. Thomas Midtown.
Funeral services for Mrs. Brady will be conducted Saturday at 12:00 pm. At Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with John Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. The family requests that masks be worn and CDC guidelines on social distancing be followed. Born February 4, 1929 in the Greenfield Bend community, she was the daughter of the late Jack Stanfill and the late Ruby Mayfield Stanfill. She attended Columbia Central High School. She married Frances Eugene Brady in 1947, he preceded her in death on March 12, 1995 and together they had a daughter, Janice Brady Zimmerman, who also preceded her in death. Mrs. Brady was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She attended Graymere Church of Christ.
Survivors include her son-in-law, Dr. Carl (Elaine) Zimmerman of Nashville; grandsons, Dr. Geoffrey (Lisa) Zimmerman of Houston, Texas, Philip (Dr. Gretchen) Zimmerman of Nashville, Dale Laurence of Nashville, and Erin (Dr. Thomas) Koshut of Huntsville, Alabama.; nine great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Philip Zimmerman, Geoffrey Zimmerman, Payton Laurence, John Neelley, James Neelley, Jeff Stevens, Bill Grissom and Tom Koshut. Honorary pallbearers will be Helen Hardison, Dale Laurence and Dr. Bob Graham.
