Charlene Beam Reeves, 81, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born September 2, 1943 to the late Charlie Beam and the late Sarah Canzada Cromeans Beam in Fulton. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. She and her husband, Leon, opened Reeves Fish and Steak House in 1982, where she worked until her retirement in 2015. Charlene was a founding member North 25 Homemakers Club, and enjoyed helping people, reading, honey buns and coke zero. She loved meeting new people at the restaurant. She was a mother figure to all of her employees over the many years she was active in the daily activities of the restaurant and she loved all the past and present employees of Reeves Fish and Steak House.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Tuesday March 25, 2025, at Senter Funeral Home with Bro. Kerry Lee Peden officiating. Burial will be in Old Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm on Tuesday March 25, at Senter Funeral Home.
Senter Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
She is survived by her son, Gary (Kim) Reeves of Fulton; daughter, Elonda (Steve) Cox of Red Bay, AL; grandchildren, Ely (Elizabeth) Cox, Emily (Joe Buckley) Cox, Lacey (Junior) Vinson, Katie (Ian) Haywood, Charley (Dylan) Moon, Jacob Reeves, and Jade Reeves; and 6 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Leon Reeves; son, James Perry Reeves, and her parents.
Pallbearers will be Ely Cox, Joe Buckley, Junior Vinson; Dylan Moon, Bryant Vinson, and Bronson Vinson.
