Funeral service for Mrs. Charleen Worrell Schmidt, age 94, of Decatur, will be Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2016, 10 a.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel, with the Reverend Brian Blass officiating. The family will receive friends today, Aug. 1, 2016, from 5 to 7 at Shelton Funeral Home with interment in Burningtree Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Schmidt, who died Saturday, July 30, 2016, at her residence, was born Jan. 25, 1922, in Rives, Tennessee to John Major and Bess Leigh Worrell.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” F. Schmidt and son, Ronald Schmidt.
She is survived by two sons, Larry Schmidt and Darrell Schmidt (Celia); five grandchildren, Stefan Schmidt, Brandon Schmidt, Evan Schmidt, Ashley Schmidt, and Hilary McCarthy (Chris); and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Schmidt, Mike Worrell, Tony Worrell, and Don Curbow.
