TUSCUMBIA – Erica Fox and Ronnie Lee Credille had their 1st appearance before a judge this morning to formally hear the charges of capital murder levied against them. Over the weekend the two were arrested by Muscle Shoals detectives in connection with the shooting death of Jason Fox, the husband of Erica Fox.
The two heard the charges that are levied against them by district Judge, Chad Coker. Coker told each of them in turn that, since this is a capital murder case wherein they could get the death penalty if convicted, there would be no bond set.
As to the circumstances, the criminal complaints against the two say the murder scene at the Muscle Shoals home appeared staged. And, based mostly on the police interview with Erica Fox, the detectives arrested her as a conspirator in the death, and later when Credille was arrested, Fox’s charges were upgraded to capital murder.
