Chais Caleb WoodGraveside services for Chais Caleb Wood are scheduled for 11:00 am Wednesday, June the 12th at Independence Cemetery in Henderson County.

Chais was born on New Year’s Day in 1990 and had just recently enrolled in college to further his education. He was a graduate of Liberty High School in Jackson and was a member of their clay target shooting team. When people think of Chais they recall his outgoing personality, how he never met a stranger and his love of life. Blessed with a great voice he enjoyed playing his guitar, knew how to play the keyboard and could even write a song. But perhaps Chais’ greatest trait was his strength and strong mentality which helped him fight a lot of battles.

Two daughters survive Chais, Makayla McCaskill and Hope Wood; his mother, Cynthia King of Huntingdon and his grandmother, Wanda ‘Nana” Blankenship of Lexington.
