Celia Sue Stephens Belk Celia Sue Stephens Belk, 68, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2024, surrounded by family and friends.

Celia was born on March 11, 1956, in New Albany, Mississippi to the late John Richard “John Dick” Stephens and the late Mary Nell Stephens Fooshee. Celia was a 1974 graduate of North Pontotoc Attendance Center where she cheered and was crowned North Pontotoc Most Beautiful. Her last years were spent at Pontotoc Health and Rehab Center where she was lovingly cared for by their tremendous staff.

Celia spent a majority of her work life at Hunter Sadler, Inc. where she was an excellent seamstress for 17 years.  There, she made strong friendships that endured through her lifetime.  Celia had a gift for making friends everywhere she went and was loved by all who knew her.  She loved her family and was happiest when spending time with them and telling stories about her son, daughter, granddaughter, or grandson.

Survivors include one daughter Amber Patterson (Scotty), two grandchildren, Mary Erin Patterson and Tyler Belk Bynum, and one great grandchild Livvy Kate. She was survived by 2 brothers, Ronnie Stephens and Richard Stephens (Susan) and 2 sisters, Breezy Moody (Lynn) and Deb Horton. She was survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews who loved their CC. She was also survived by her very special friend Bobbie Bridges, who made her last years an adventure, and Kenney Belk, the father of her children.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Kelley Belk, a sister Wanda Childers, a brother-in-law Mike Childers, a sister-in-law Rosie Stephens and stepfather Kenneth Fooshee.

A Celebration of Life will be held on December 7th from 10:00-12:00p at Ecru Methodist Church.
