Cedric Leon Prince, age 83, of Russellville, passed away on Monday, June 13, 2022 at his residence.
Bro. Cedric was a member of the National Guard and a welder at U.S. Steel. He was a Church of Christ preacher for many years and attended both Washington Avenue Church of Christ and Isbell Church of Christ. He loved his family very much and especially his little “Dr. Alexis Jade” who was always taking care of her PawPaw.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Willy & Mammie Estell (Reid) Prince; sister, Louise Prince; brother, Jimmy Prince; and great-granddaughters, Caitlin Ann Eldridge and Kaleigh Joyce Henson.
He leaves to cherish her memory, his wife of 66 years, Helen Maxine Mansell Prince; son, Michael Prince (Kimberly); grandchildren, Bonnie Prince, Kristy Looney, Jamie Thompson (Michael), Kimberly Henson (Jacob); great-grandchildren, Alexis Thompson, Jackson Tyler (Elizabeth), Noah Tyler (Ashley), Joseph Tyler, Andrew Harris, Blake Henson, Christian Harris, Michael Ray Thompson, Christopher Thompson (Carrie); great-great-grandchildren, Rhys Thompson; Waylen Tyler; and a host of nieces & nephews.
The visitation will be 12:00 noon – 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 16, 2022 at Spry Memorial Chapel, with the funeral following at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel. Bro. Gary Carter and Bro. George Hutto will officiate the service. Burial will be at Franklin Memory Gardens.
The pallbearers will be Jackson Tyler, Noah Tyler, Joseph Tyler, Andrew Harris, Blake Henson, and Jody Tyler.
