Cecilia Ann Jones, 78, of Moulton, passed away Saturday, November 25, 2023 at Huntsville Hospital. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Corinth Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Larry Dyar, Bro. Shane Sinyard, and Bro. William McClellan officiating. Cecilia will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Corinth Missionary Baptist Cemetery.
Born on March 2, 1945 to the late Kelsey and Pauline Waer, Cecilia was a member of Corinth Missionary Baptist Church. Often referred to as “Baba” by all those who loved her, she was a true example of a Godly wife, mother, and grandmother. Cecilia enjoyed cooking large meals for family and friends, and her life was centered around serving others and working in her church. “Baba” was so proud of her grandchildren and great grandchildren, never missing an opportunity to show them her love.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Roger Jones; daughters, Shelley (Derek) Daniel, Cheryl (Kevin) Letson; grandchildren, Kellie (Ryan) Bowerman, Clay (Ashley) Letson, KerriLynn (Dylan) Wallace, Tayler (Parker) Davis, Reagan Daniel; great-grandchildren, Anna Ryan Bowerman, Jase Bowerman, Ava Grace Bowerman, William Wallace, Rhett Letson; brothers, Hank (Sandy) Waer, Doug (Phyllis) Waer; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Cecilia was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Kelsey Norman Waer. Pallbearers will be Clay Letson, Ryan Bowerman, Dylan Wallace, Parker Davis, Jase Bowerman, Danny Morris, and Dylan Jones.
