Mr. Cecil Wayne Guthrie, age 66, of Scottsboro, Alabama passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2024.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at the Scottsboro Funeral Home with Rev. Jodie Bell officiating. Burial will follow at Pinehaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday, February 29, 2024 beginning at 1:00 p.m.
Mr. Cecil Wayne Guthrie is survived by his wife, Barbara Guthrie; daughter, Jennifer Ferguson; son, Michael Guthrie; grandchildren, Trey Totherow and Kenley Ferguson; Special Emotional Support Dog Jo-Jo; mother in-law, Viola Ferguson; siblings, Angeilla Dolberry of Stevenson, James (Diana) Guthrie for Eastaboga, AL, Donald Guthrie of Scottsboro, Joey (Candi) Ward of Scottsboro, Scotty (Kimberly) Guthrie of Eastaboga, AL; sisters in-law, Diane Boyd of Athens, Kathy Harris of Scottsboro; brothers in-law, Bruce Ferguson, Justin (Darlene) Ferguson, and Roger Ferguson all of Scottsboro; nieces and nephews, Randy (Tina) Ferguson, Charlie (Susan) Miller, and several more nieces and nephews; Special Friends, Billy Van Hastings, Butch Thompson, and a host of other friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, J.W. “Bill” Guthrie; mother, Mary Frances Ward; brothers, Tommy Dale Guthrie, and James Houston Guthrie; sister, Shelia Salters; father in-law, Junior Ferguson; sister in-law, Tammy Ferguson; nephew, James Guthrie; niece, Jennifer Gossett.
