Cecil Ray Walters, age 72 of Jackson, passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2023.
Ray was born on October 3, 1950 in Jackson, TN, the son of the late Robert Earl and Viola Anderson Walters. He retired from the West Tennessee School for the Deaf after 25 years of service.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Robbie, and one sister, Cordie Mae Walters Finch.
He is survived by his children, Amy Walters of Jackson and Ricky Walters (Sylvia) of El Paso, TX; five grandchildren, Noah, Tristan, Maria, Andy, and Vivian; three brothers, Bobby Walters, Roy Lee Walters, and Billy Walters; and two sisters, Shirley Walters Villagran and Polly Walters Clark.
The family will receive friends on Friday, April 21, 2023 from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. at the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. with burial follow in Ridgecrest Cemetery.
