Cecil “Little Cecil” Howard Champion, age 57 of Winchester, passed away on May 23, 2024, at his residence. He was born on June 10, 1966, in Winchester, to the late Cecil Howard Champion and Nancy Jane Hill. Cecil started out as a truck driver and later became an auto mechanic. When he was not working, he enjoyed fishing, painting, riding motorcycles, and working and restoring old sports cars. He always enjoyed his time on the lake that was known as the most relaxing place to him. Cecil will always be remembered as a fun, loving jokester that always liked to see a smile and hear a laugh. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone that was in need. In addition to his parents, Cecil is preceded in death by his siblings, Bernie Hill and Tammy Champion. He is survived by his daughter, Courtney Gass; son, Jonathon (Amanda) Champion; grandchildren, Jeremiah Champion, Iris Champion, Paisley Champion, Aubrey Champion; siblings, Sybil (Jack) Bishop, Sarah Dunn (Kenneth Brewer), Tracy Champion; sister-in-law, Susie Hill; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 26, 2024, from 12:00pm – 2:00pm at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with a memorial service following at 2pm in the chapel.
