Cecil Lee Hulsey, 85 of Adamsville (Shady Grove community), passed away Saturday April 1, 2023 at his residence.
He was a graduate of Minor High School. He was retired from Pullman Standard. He was Caretaker and Overseer of Union Grove Cemetery in Adamsville. He was a Freemason and a member of Hewitt North Birmingham Lodge #519 F&AM.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ira and Mag Hulsey; brother, Arvil Hulsey and sisters, Myra Sue Hulsey and Brenda Edger.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Caryoldean Hulsey; children, Mike Hulsey (Connie), Cindy Jackson (John) and Becky Lucas (Jeff); grandchildren, Cory, Kyle, Brittney, Anthony, Chris, Lindsey and Macy; great grandchildren, Branden and LilyAnne; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
A Memorial service will be held Friday April 7, 23 at 7:00 pm in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends from 5:30-7 pm. Cremation services are being provided. His cremains will ultimately be placed in Union Grove Cemetery.
The family wants to say a special thanks to Kourtney and Hallie with Compassus Hospice for their kindness and care of Mr. Hulsey.
