Cecil Dolphin Sprague Jr, 78 of Cherokee passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2015. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Scott Livingston officiating. The burial will be at Harris Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Sprague was a native of Colbert County. He was a retired Multicraft Mechanic of LaRoche Industries and a member of First Baptist Church of Cherokee.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ella Sprague.
He is survived by his sons, Sonny and Greg Sprague(Jennifer); daughter, Lisa Bunch(Jerry); brother, William Sprague; sisters, Marie Collum, Ethel Trexler, Josephine Kendrick, and Becky Austin; and five grandchildren, Bradley, Chris, Gentry, and Paxton Sprague, Chase and Aaron Bunch.
Pallbearers are Christopher and Matt Sprague, Dean and Tim Talley, Eric Collum, and Pete Austin. Honorary pallbearer is Earl Dean Brown.
The family expresses special thanks to the staffs of Keller Landing and Alacare Hospice.
