Cecil Bretherick – Obituary

   Mr. Cecil Bretherick ,97 of Killen passed away Sunday, July 8, 2012 at Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home after an extended illness. He was a native of Arkansas and a member of Killen Church of Christ. Cecil worked for Townsley’s Produce ,Boston Christian Produce, Florence Candy Company, and retired after 28 years with the town of Killen. Cecil enjoyed woodworking and was an avid gardner who loved raising tomatoes.

   Visitation is today, July 9, 2012 from 6-9 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at 2 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with burial in Greenview Memorial Park. Officiating will be Stan Dean.
   Mr. Bretherick is preceded in death by his wife, Nadine Bretherick, daughter, Janet Diana Bretherick, son, Jimmy Wayne Bretherick, sisters, Lucille Townsley and Ruby Bretherick, and a brother, Alonzo Bretherick.
   He is survived by two sons, Bobby Ray Bretherick(Ginger) and Ricky Bennett Bretherick(Wanda) daughter, Carolyn Sue Tidwell, grandchildren, Lane and Felecia Tidwell, Deta Adams, Rhonda West, Joel Bretherick, Missy Whitehead, Andy, Jessica, and Constance Bretherick, great grandchildren, Trent, Kayla, Avery, Isabella, Nathan, Katelan, Candy, Corey,  Casey, Cody, Savannah, and Celee and numerous great great grandchildren.
   Pallbearers will be Lane Tidwell, Charlie Stutts, Andy Bretherick, Joel Bretherick, Keith West, Chris Adams, Mark Hester, and Trent Tidwell.
   Honorary pallbearers will include Nathan West, Cody Bretherick, Corey Morgan, Tommy McCabe, Greg Cummings, Darrel Myrick, Jerry Mitchell, Bill Bretherick, and David Townsley.
   The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff of Lauderdale Christian and to Hospice of the Tennessee Valley.
