Cathy Virginia Long Goodwin, 72, of Tuscumbia, AL died on Tuesday, July 2, 2024. Visitation will be Monday, July 8, 2024 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Colbert memorial Chapel with a service to follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel. Bob Pittman will be officiating. Burial will be in K.P. Cemetery, Russellville, AL.
She was a member of Redemption Shoals formally known as Highland Park Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd Long and Virginia Tvedt.
She is survived by her husband, Billy C. Goodwin; son, Mark Goodwin (Jennifer A); daughters, Jennifer L. Goodwin, Allison Goodwin, and Lexis Belin (Michael); brother, Jimmy Long; grandchildren, Jacob DeVaney (Emma), Lilly Goodwin, and Jaxton Goodwin; great grandchildren, Kash Devaney and Stella Jade Devaney; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Gene Balentine, Bill Nelson, Jacob Devaney, Jaxton Goodwin, Michael Belin, and Kevin Ballard.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the Vanderbilt Ingram Cancer Center, Dr. Ramirez and his nurse, Abby. Also North Alabama Medical Center 5th floor staff, and to her dearest friends who helped take care of our precious mother.
