Cathy McNabb, age 73, of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2025, at Maury Regional Medical Center. Born on December 3, 1951, in Maury County, Tennessee, Cathy was the beloved daughter of the late James Powell and Nolie Chatman Powell.
Cathy was a devoted homemaker who took immense pride in her family and her home. She was a remarkable cook, known for her talent in the kitchen where everything she made was delicious. Her love for her family was unparalleled, and she cherished the time spent with her grandchildren, who were her greatest joy.
She was a strong-willed, simple woman who found delight in the little things, like watching her favorite television shows, especially The Andy Griffith Show and Walker, Texas Ranger.
Cathy is survived by her loving daughter, Christy Marshall, and her husband, Ryan; her cherished grandchildren, Bryan Cummins, Haydun Rogers, and Chelsea Jones; and her brother, Donald Sharp. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas McNabb; her son, Ronnie Wayne Powell; her parents; and her brothers and sisters.
Pallbearers honoring Cathy’s life and legacy will be Jason Vaughn, Josh Vaughn, Trenton Howell, Cameron Howell, Randy Howell, and Raylon Runions.
Cathy will be remembered for her unwavering love, her quiet strength, and the warm, welcoming home she created for her family. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 4, 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee. The service will be Sunday, January 5, 2024, at 2:00 PM with Rev. Jeff Kane officiating at Williams Funeral Home in Mount pleasant, Tennessee. Cathy will be laid to rest at Arlington Cemetery in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee.
