Cathy Maresa Dunnavant, age 71 of Prospect, passed away Tuesday November 21, 2023 at her residence.Cathy Dunnavant was born Lester, AL on September 27, 1952 to James Howard and Dorothy Dean Davis Norwood. Cathy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a friend to all she met and loved her family immeasurably! She delighted in the role of being “Ninny” to her 3 grandsons. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Cathy was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert G. Dunnavant, Jr, and sister Peggy Coats.
Visitation will be 1-2pm Friday, November 24, 2023 with the funeral following at 2pm at Carr and Erwin Funeral Home. Interment will be in Dunnavant Cemetery, Prospect, TN.
Cathy is survived by her son Bobby Dunnavant of Prospect, daughter Robin Dunnavant of Nashville, brother Marc (Brenda) Norwood of Rogersville, AL, sister Sherry Mitchell of Delrose, grandchildren Devin Tippens, Waylon Johnson, Chance Coats, and special friends Paula Johnson of Ardmore, Donna Case of New Hope, and Becky Walls, Cellie Hardiman, several nieces and nephews.
