Ms. Reed, age 75, passed away at the home of her daughter, Lorrie Irvin, on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 in Corinth, MS.

A native of St. Louis, MO, she had lived in Fayette County for over 20 years before moving to Corinth six years ago. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Franklin Reed and Catherine Eugenia Cooksey Reed. Primarily a homemaker, Ms. Reed had formerly worked as a waitress.

She attended Holly Baptist Church in Corinth, but also held a special place in her heart for her family’s church, Pleasant Grove Baptist Church near Hickory Valley, TN. In her leisure time, she enjoyed crafting, making jewelry and shopping at antique and second-hand stores. A friend to all she came in contact with, she treasured time spent with her family most of all.

Her family would like to give special thanks to Lorrie Irvin and her children for taking care of Mrs. Reed during her illness.

Survivors are her four daughters, Wendy (Jeffery) McClure, Lorrie Irvin, and Cathy (Doug) Essary, all of Corinth and Lisa (Brian) Meeks of Nesbit, MS; 16 grandchildren, Everette, Johnathon, J. W., Greg, Missy, Mason, Destanie and Lilliebell McClure, Shawna Roberston, Amanda Haygood, Thomas Irvin, Karissa Meeks, Kyndall Smyer, Autumn Boren, Allison Coleman and Alan Essary; 25 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be sent to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

The family respectfully requests everyone attending the visitation and/or service, please practice social distancing and wear mask or facial covering.

While visiting or attending services for Ms. Reed, please consider the following guidelines:

* Maintain 6 feet between yourself and the next closest person;
* Refrain from hugs and handshakes;
* When you sneeze or cough, use your elbow to cover your nose and mouth;
* Wash your hands often;
* Avoid touching your face; and
* Minimize time spent in places where people gather.
