Catherine Sue Nix Mason, age 70, of Hackleburg, died peacefully Monday, August 12, 2024, at her residence.
Cathy loved sitting and watching her grandchildren playing in her backyard. She loved her family and spending time working in her flowers.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Rudy Mason, mother, Betty Sue Galloway Nix Nichols; brothers, Paul, Jerry, A.C. and Gene Nix; and sisters, Doris Johnson, Nina Frederick.
Cathy leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Shane (Steph) Mason, April Mason; grandchildren, Blake Fincher, Caitie (Taylor) Sutton, Cassidy Mason, Jordin, Jaydin and Jasmine Ware; great-granddaughter, Olivia Sutton; brother, Aubrey (Sandra) Nix. And a host of nieces/nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends that will greatly miss her.
The visitation will be 1- 3 p.m. and service will be 3: 00 p.m. Sunday, August 18, 2024, at Spry Memorial Chapel. Officiating will be Bro. Stan Galloway. The Burial will be at Cedar Tree Cemetery.
The pallbearers are Shane Mason, Blake Fincher, Taylor Sutton, Eric Cochran, Jason Engle, David Cantrell. The honorary pallbearer will be Jaydin Ware.
The family wants to thank the nurses/staff of Enhabit Home Health & Hospice for the excellent care provided.
