Catherine Jane “Cathy” Jones, 75, of Cherokee, passed away Sunday, December 10, 2023. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 12th, from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Cherokee. The funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel with Dwight Rivers officiating. Interment will be at Harris Chapel Cemetery.
Cathy was a native of Colbert County and a 1966 graduate of Cherokee Vocational High School. She was preceded in death by her son, Eric Lane Nelson; parents, Ernie and Ella Mae McCaig; and sisters, Joyce Ann Wadkins and Ray Nell Carson.
Cathy is survived by her husband of 33 years, Roy Lynn Jones; children, Lynn Jones (Michelle) and Paula Jones Keeton (Jamie); 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jamie Keeton, Shelby Russ, Dennis Carson, Will Hollins, Corey Mobley, and Cole Mobley.
