Activities continue Thursday with the annual The Donnell House Festival of Trees Preview Party and the tree-lighting for the Athens-Limestone County Tourism Association‘s Tinsel Trail (formerly North Pole Stroll).
ATHENS-Holiday events kick off Wednesday with a Christmas Market at Athens-Limestone Hospital. The community is invited to shop with a variety of vendors.

Then the Athens tradition comes to town – Christmas Open House – which is always held the weekend before Thanksgiving.
There will be skating on The Square, photos with Santa, a Merry Market on The Square, an art room for kids at High Cotton Arts, and Christmas specials at participating merchants.
