Carter Hugh "Doc" Crosson Profile Photo Mr. Carter Hugh “Doc” Crosson, age 88, of Boaz, Alabama, died on Monday, April 1, 2024, at Marshall Medical Center South.

 

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at 11 o’clock am in the McRae Chapel. Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery with military honors. A visitation will be on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, from 6 until 8 at the funeral home.

 

Mr. Crosson was born in Alabama on February 27, 1936, to Virgil and Obera Denney Crosson. He retired from the United States Navy and the US Postal Service.

 

 

Mr. Crosson is survived by his Wife: Janice Centers Crosson of Boaz, Son: Johnny & Rebecca Crosson of Sardis, Step-Son: Bryan Centers of Boaz, Grandchildren: Lindsay & Chuck Martin of Sardis, Courtney Crosson of Huntsville and Blake White of Sardis, Great Grandchildren: Case & Bryson Martin and Autumn & Blakeley White, Sister: Sue Garner of Huntsville. He was preceded in death by his Parents: Virgil & Obera Crosson, wife: Bonnie Crosson, Daughter: Dawn Crosson and Sister: Sandra Vandergriff.

 

Serving as pallbearers will be Randall Denney, Casey Underwood, Al Vandergriff, Allen Roberson, Chuck Martin, and Carlos Fielder. Honorary Pallbearers will be Coy Tibbitt, Billy Crosson, Phillip Denney, Bryan Centers, Mike Fielder, Steve Arrington, and the Snead State College Baseball Players.

 

Special recognition to the Doctors, Nurses, ER and 3rd floor at Marshall Medical Center South and Doctors, Nurses, and Therapist at Rehab Select.

 

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to St. Judes Children’s Hospital.
