Carrie Virginia Wortham Lamb – Obituary

Mrs. Carrie Virginia Wortham Lamb, age 91, of Chapel Hill, Tennessee, died Monday, January 5, 2015 in Nashville, Tennessee. Mrs. Lamb was born in Bedford County and was a daughter of the late Ivan Clinton and Mary Ruth Marshall Wortham. She was a homemaker and employed for many years at Henry Horton State Park in Chapel Hill. Mrs. Lamb was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church in Chapel Hill. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Beureun “Booley” Lamb, who died in 2005, an infant grandson, Henry Thomas Lamb, and by a brother, Paul Wortham.

Mrs. Lamb is survived by sons, Marshall (Vickie) Lamb, Unionville, TN, Clyde B. (Lorraine) Lamb, Jr., Clay Hill Comm., Randy (Judy) Lamb, Lewisburg, TN; sister, Marie Trout, Chapel Hill, TN; brother, Jimmy Wortham, Chapel Hill, TN; granddaughter, Scarlett Marie (Tommy) Garner, Chapel Hill, TN; great granddaughter, Saylor Marie Garner, Chapel Hill, TN; five step-grandchildren, eight step-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Family members will receive friends on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2015 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Courtelis and Phillip Morgan officiating. Burial will follow in Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill.
