Carolyn Virginia Hudson Robertson, 75, of Athens, Alabama passed away on Friday, December 9, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Robertson was born on February 19, 1947 to Mr. James Leo Hudson and his wife, Mrs. Leo Belue Hudson.
Mrs. Robertson is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Villard Randall Robertson; sons Steven Randall Robertson (Kathy), James Marshall Robertson (Stephanie); grandchildren Nathan Andrew Robertson, Kayla Robertson Stewart (Travis), and Elizabeth Lindsey Robertson; sister Judy Hudson Smith; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Bonnie Hudson Crowe, and her brother Jerry Allen Hudson.
As she grew up, Mrs. Robertson helped her family work their hundred-acre farm on Harris-Loop Road, and she became a faithful member of Cartwright Church of Christ. She attended Owens Elementary School and West Limestone High School.
Mrs. Robertson married Villard Randall Robertson on July 3, 1965.
A devoted Christian, she served alongside her husband as missionaries in Lesotho, Africa (1978 through 1985.) They then returned to serve in Limestone County, Alabama.
Mrs. Robertson will be sorely missed by her family and the grandchildren whom she loved so dearly.
