Carolyn Tomlinson Profile Photo Funeral services for Carolyn Tomlinson, 75 of Corinth, MS are set for Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at 11 am at Gaines Chapel Methodist Church with interment in Magnolia Gardens. Visitation will be Monday, October 14, 2024 from 5pm-8pm at Gaines Chapel Methodist Church. Bro Chris Klingenfus will officiate the service. Born December 17, 1948 in Corinth, MS. Mrs. Tomlinson passed from this life on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at her home. She was a devoted wife, mother and a doting grandmother, who was an active member of Gaines Chapel Methodist Church. Carolyn became an active worker and participant in the Walk to Emmaus for many years. She loved God, her family and friends and enjoyed gardening and landscaping, coloring, reading, doing crossword puzzles, cross stitch, and sitting on the deck and reading her bible with her dog, Mozart. Carolyn graduated from Corinth High School in 1966 and later from Northeast Community College. She traveled to Israel and was baptized in the Jordan River. When you ask about who Carolyn was you would always hear,” She was resilient, a God-fearing prayer warrior, that was devoted to her church and her family”. Carolyn is survived by her husband of 55 years, John Brewer Tomlinson; sons, Trey Tomlinson (Tricia), John John Tomlinson (Mary Ellen) and Ben Tomlinson; 7 grandchildren, Anna Kate Tomlinson, Alden Tomlinson, Abby Tomlinson, Mandy Rowsey, Hughes Tomlinson, Drew Rowsey and John William Tomlinson; brother, Lonnie Richards (Monette);  sister, Martha Rodgers; nephews, Bobby Rodgers and Paul Tomlinson; other relatives and a host of friends. She is preceded in death by father, Lonnie Richards; mother, Thelma Richards; sister, Mable Richards and a nephew, Ricky Rodgers. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mrs. Carolyn Tomlinson.
