Carolyn Schulte Marlar, 74, Leighton, passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2023. Visitation will be Saturday, January 28, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel with Coy Hallmark officiating. Interment will be in Glendale Cemetery, Leighton.
Carolyn was a native and lifelong resident of the Shoals and a member of Cottontown Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and Mimi. Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, David Marlar; grandson, Blake Miller; parents, William and Clarice Schulte; brothers, Ronald and Carl Schulte; and loving fur-baby, Devonte.
Carolyn is survived by her children, Kristie Jeffreys (Marc) and Misty Marlar; brother, David Schulte; granddaughter, TeAnna Counts (Will); and great-grandchildren, Crimsyn and Tydus Counts.
Pallbearers will be Derrick Holden, Steve Williams, Steve McCaig, Barry Minor, Chris Jeffreys, and Steve Flanagan.
